Yankees add a catcher
Ivan Rodriguez for Kyle Fransworth. Good move for the Yankees. Guess Tigers have a catcher
I didn't want to trade him?
Tigers president Dave Dombrowski said the team didn’t want to trade Rodriguez, but had bigger needs in the bullpen.
“First let me say that Pudge has done an outstanding job for us,” Dombrowski told reporters before Detroit played the Cleveland Indians. “I’m sure he was very surprised by this, but for him this is a good situation. He’s going to New York City, and they are in contention.”

I'd guess Inge becomes the everday C then.

Inge may be the best defensive third baseman in baseball
even though he was still splitting time with Carlos Guillen. Inge really shouldn’t have been that mad about the Miguel Cabrera trade, and because he didn’t put up a fuss about either Carlos Guillen or Miguel Cabrera, he’s getting rewarded for his patience. Likeable player.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I'm fairly
sure that he had more than a few words about the possibity of them moving him to catcher this year.

Pudge is a good pick up for the next two months. I wouldn’t touch him after this season though.

And they'll get some decent draft picks
for letting him go this winter, too. No way they keep him.

They have to offer him arbitration to get the picks
And I think Pudge migth accept.
He’s guaranteed to get 80% of what he’s making this year.

Yanks probably won't offer him arb
But if there’s a team that can afford $10M back up catcher, it’s the Yankees. I can’t imagine anytime wanting to give up draft picks just to sign Pudge though.

Those F***er's offered to pay the rest of Jarrod Washburn's '08 salary
without batting an eyelash for pretty much what would have been a fifth starter in their rotation. Filthy rich.
God, every time I see Pudge, I can’t believe how thin he’s gotten.

Amazing how he lost so much weight with his workout regimen...
...the same offseason as testing began. Just sayin’.
