Twins want Roberts: What would it take?
MLBTradeRumors.com (yeah, I know, spare me) says the Twins are still hot and bothered over acquiring Brian Roberts.
Well, if you were Andy MacPahil, what would it take to deal Roberts to the Twins - what would you want back that they have?
A few resources for your convenience:
• Rochester Red Wings (AAA) Roster
• New Britain Rock Cats (AA) Roster
• Fort Myers Miracle (A Adv.) Roster
• Beloit Snappers (A) Roster
• DSL Twins (R) Roster
• Elizabethton Twins (R) Roster
• GCL Twins (R) Roster
And another Twins' Blogger's opinion
We all know Roberts isn't going anywhere. But what offer from the Twins would make you seriously consider moving Roberts? May as well have some fun while we wait until the August 31 deadline before our GM makes any moves...

Where did that pictue of BRob come from?
It looks…. odd. It looks like a REALDOLL version of BRob, and it gives me the willies.

No way
He’s the bastard child of David Bowie and Farrah Fawcett.

Hmm...
I wonder why (severe sarcasm being used) they couldn’t find a trade. Their AAA team is full of Orioles rejects over the past couple of years and they only have one or two prospects that are interesting (purely on stats). Their AA team has a position prospect or two, but it is no wonder that they can’t find a deal. The twins seem to be down and out with upper level prospects and they probably want to ship off one of their starting pitchers.

The Twins don't really have the players to get it done
Basically, they’d have to give up more than they got for Santana, which probably wouldn’t play well in minneapolis.

They didn't get enough for Santana
which makes the Bedard heist look almost criminal in comparison.

+1
That Santana trade looks pretty bad. At this point 2 picks and another year of Santana is more valuable than the prospects.

Yup
Gomez and 3 pitchers who will never amount to anything above back of the rotation or bullpen arms.
The twins would defiantly be much better.

yeah
But Santana asked to be traded. They didn’t have much choice. He didn’t want to be there. And it’s not like he was going to stay forever either. They got fuck all back for him (I don’t like Gomez much more than I like the pitchers) but their hands were sort of tied.

Any more than ours were
with Tejada and Bedard? Granted, each had longer on their contracts, and that was a big selling point. But Miggy had been asking out for, what, 3 years in a row and Bedard wasn’t exactly volunteering at the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce himself.
