Cintron up, Burres down
Shortstop Alex Cintron has been activated him from the 15-day disabled list and lefthander Brian Burres has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk.
Cintron suffered a a strained left hamstring on July 1. He hit .429 in five games with Frederick and Bowie after hitting .275 in 26 games with the Orioles.
Burres was 7-7 with a 5.64 ERA in 22 games with the Orioles.
The Sun: Burres sent down, Cintron comes up
Also, more ammo for those of us predicting the decline of O's coverage - this was posted as a minor note in a story about the O's not signing their first round draft pick.

To be fair...
Schmuck did have a blog entry about the move.
BTW, why are we carrying Cintron, Castro, and Fahey? Hopefully more moves to come.

There HAS to be more to come....
There’s at least one pitching move coming next week, and Andy will start the process of moving guys through waivers this weekend, I would imagine.

correct
Him and Avery have led our GCL team to a stellar 10-23 record. But its no fault of their own, they both are batting over 300 and Hoes is drawing lots of walks and not striking out much.
