Wouldn't be surprised if Daniel Cabrera gets scratched from his next start, though nobody has said anything to indicate that he's pitching hurt.
Can't think of any other reason for him to be throwing his fastball in the mid-80s. This is a guy who used to be able to jack it up near 100 and today he looked borderline helpless against the Yankees. If you're keeping score at home: 3 2/3 innings, nine hits, seven runs, three walks, and I'm trying to block out all the other three-ball counts. It was only the second start of his career without any strikeouts.

Good one to miss
If Danny throws 90 mph, he’s done. Sad fact is the O’s have no one to replace him. This season is again a waste with the pitching. We get to say that year after year. Guthrie showed he wasn’t a fluke and remained decent. No one else materialized at the major league level.
So, is this the swoon we’ve been hoping wouldn’t happen? The pitching sure makes it seem like a strong possibility. Year 11 of suck. Go O’s!

I was at the game today
and Danny definitely wasn’t looking like himself at all, struggling to reach 90 just isn’t his style, and he should have had at least one K, that curve to Matsui that dropped on the outside corner and got called a ball because Danny doesn’t wear pinstripes and all.

This is a guy who used to be able to jack it up near 100
And now does not and hasn’t for the last couple of years. He didn’t look good at all and looked like he had at the least a simple ol’ dead arm, but this 100 mph thing is pointless. He hasn’t done that in a long time.
