my girlfriend who is from N.O. took a week vacay to go home (that week just happened to be the week when the hurricane is going to hit) and is leaving for NO saturday (if they let her). An update of whats going on would be helpful so I know what shes getting into and also just to let us know you guys are ok.

if there’s one ray of hope in this whole thing… it’s that the weather channel and meteorologists in general usually have no idea where the hell a hurricane is going. Those projected paths are a joke.

I drop off the internet for a week and the O’s haven’t won a game since?1? WTF. At least they didn’t pick up Eckstein.

I went to Memphis to stay with an ex-NOLAn. Came home, picked up the roof vent from the neighbor, and put up the section of fence. I’m leaving most of the plywood up for any upcoming storms, as it’s peak season.

BTW I really enjoyed OPACY. My MFYGF thought the scoreboard was too confusing, but I enjoyed it the cleanliness, the space, the giant pile of food you get for the price of a hot dog at MFYS. The parking attendants are on serious crack though, they spun us all over the place, through the ghetto and on the ass end of MTB to Lot K. I’ll post pics later.
