Orioles fall out of contention.
I know, you're stunned, aren't you?
But it's true.
With Saturday's loss, the Birds were mathematically eliminated from winning the AL East.
With today's victory by the Red Sox, they have also been virtually eliminated from the wild card (they actually need to lose one more game to officially be eliminated from the wild card).
From here on out, we play Cleveland, Minnesota, @ Toronto, @ New York, Tampa Bay, and Toronto.
We are 22 games out and a lock for 5th place.
To avoid our 11th straight losing season, we need finish out 18-2.
.......
On the plus side, the Yankees will also be staying home this October.
