For some reason World Baseball Classic hero Koji Uehara left the richest and most succesful team in Japan to sign a two-year deal with the Orioles
with a WEIRD tag for good measure

Did they un-greenlight it?
Can’t find it.

Not sure
It was green-lit on TotalFark.com, but it can take a few hours before it moves to the free Fark.com site.

Is that #19?
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that he’ll have no problem wrestling that number away from Oscar Salazar.
As for his performance, let’s hope he’s more like Dave McNally and less like James Baldwin.

I'm excited.
Guarantee he’ll be better than anyone in our rotation except obviously Guthrie.

I think Andy did a good job with this one!
While he won’t be a Ace here, he should give the O’s a solid 1-2 in the starting pitching. The contract isn’t huge and it won’t be hanging around the O’s necks for years either. Now, get a good older catcher to help Wieters ( get Zaun or Irod, either one will do! ) and to get the staff moving in the right direction and the O’s should see improvement this year! :)

I don’t know that I would say Guthrie/Uehara makes a solid 1-2. Guthrie is probably below average among #1 and Uehara was reliever in Japan last year.

Yeah… on a good team, this would be a decent 2-5.
