The turkey has a look

of pure admiration…can you blame him?

The turkey's definitely terrified.

Look at it! Trembling.

Really?

I thought the turkey was looking at Matt like he’s in love.

Schmaltz time!

I’m thankful for duck and zknower for being so wonderful and helpful and listening to all of my nonsense.

I’m thankful for all of you who comment and contribute. Camden Chat is the greatest Orioles fan community around and it’s because of you. Thanks for being smart and intelligent and well informed.

I’m especially thankful for the wayward O for introducing me to the wonders of Blingee.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I am thankful that, after wandering in the wilderness for so many years, we are now moving in the direction of the promised land. If not the promised land, at least a team of which we can be proud.

I'm thankful for...

Some hope in an O’s team.

Very nice animation, our team colors are very nice for Autumn!

Buster Olney has an Orioles-focused post on his blog.

I’m not an Insider, so I can’t read anything beyond a bit of dry humor from MacPhail. Anybody who has a subscription want to see if there’s anything interesting? It’s here.

It says we have the potiential to make a Rays like jump next year...

and that there is plenty of quality 1st and 3rd basemen that can stopgap for us, including adding the one and only Miguel Tejada to play third.

Hm, not much we haven't heard before.

Aside from mentioning Tejada, I suppose. Thanks for the info.

Just read this:

zknower – Camden Chat elder statesman, west coast correspondent, and the brains to duck’s brawn.

So, I hereby appoint myself assistant west coast correspondent.

"Chicks who dig home runs aren’t the ones who appeal to me, I think there’s sexiness in infield hits because they require technique. I’d rather impress the chicks with my technique than with my brute strength. Then, every now and then, just to show I can do that, too, I might flirt a little by hitting one out."-Ichiro

Sort of like Dwight Schrute?

Vizzini: Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato, Aristotle, Socrates?
Man in Black: Yes.
Vizzini: Morons.

What do you guys think about signing Carlos Pena for 2011?

Looking at the 2011 list of free agents, he seems like the best 1B available (unless Pujols somehow becomes available, and no, I’m not deluding myself that St. Louis won’t at least pick up that option). I can’t tell whether I think he’d be enough or not… He hits a lot of homers, but he’s very much a three outcomes guy.

So if another player put up the exact same AVG, OBP, OPS, HRs, RBI, etc

but struck out less you’d like them more? I personally don’t care how they make their outs – it’s what they do when they don’t get out that gets my attention. Just doesn’t make that much difference and it’s hard to ground into a DP on a strike out.

by O'sFan21 on Nov 26, 2009 11:37 PM EST up reply actions

Strikeouts also mean you're seeing at least 3 pitches (and hopefully quite a few more)

Unlike some of our hitters who hit a weak fly ball on the first pitch of every other at bat (I’m looking at you Wiggy)

i'm thankful

for how much eli manning is sucking right now. at this rate, the giants will pay him over $1M per victory this season.
