For the amount of money it would take
to sign him…It would be a repeat of A-Rod in Texas. In no way shape or form would it have been good for the Orioles long term to spend all their money for one player that would be bitching about a trade in less than 2 years. Signing Tex would have completely derailed the rebuilding that Andy is doing. We are much better without Tex.

You’re assuming Andy MacPhail is as stupid as the goofs that were running the Rangers then, though. I don’t think he is. They didn’t draft well, made bad free agent signings like Chan Ho Park, and just did not run a competent organization. Signing Alex Rodriguez was not why they sucked, it was just their convenient excuse. “Ah well we spent too much on this guy and that was our mistake.” Signing a great player who then produces is never in itself a mistake, even considering payroll effect, which is frankly not quite the horrible burden teams that aren’t the Yankees make it out to be. Most clubs turn a healthy profit and pay out based around what they can expect to make. Failing to execute anything else was the Rangers’ problem.

I'm purchasing an authentic
Mark Tex Yanks jersey and sending to you, SC…c’mon man, set yourself free and allow the hatred for him to seep in. I have heard your argument as to why we should not be so angry at him, but I just don’t care about logic in this case. If you only knew the power of the darkside…

I’m not saying don’t boo the Yankee. Trust me, when I see him in those stupid ass pinstripes it’ll get me. I’m saying we’re a better team with him than we are with Ty Wigginton and Felix Pie.

That’s the beauty of this video. Of course, we would be better off with Texiera but they sing stuff like, “You wanted pinstriples and that’s OK, we don’t need you anyway. And now Yankee fans think they can take us, well guess what chumps, we got Nick Markakis!”
Other awesome lines.
Your wife told you to play in NY,
Well, my wife told me you look like a dork,
You get to play with Derek Jeter,
Well, guess what son? We got Matt Wieters! Matt Wiiiiieeeeters

oops to finish up,
They sing stuff like, "You wanted pinstriples and that’s OK…" with such conviction and plain awesomeness.

Last time I checked
their payroll was more than $25 million a year. A-Rod didn’t cripple them, he gave them an easy excuse for teh REST of their mistakes.

Rex Ryan isn't that bad with a guitar
My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver
