Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Open Thread: Mets @ Orioles, 2/25

I'm not front-paging this, because seriously, no one is going to be hitting "refresh" every 30 seconds to see what's happening in this game.

Look! Freel is 1 for 2 with a ribbie. Hennessey has an ERA of 13.50, the bum! ZAUN IS BATTING 1.000 AS I TYPE THIS.

More to the point, it's clearly sprint training for all the lowly-paid interns at MLB.com who update the box scores.

See? The Orioles scored two runs in the bottom of the second! Except they didn't:

I just turned on the radio

I just love hearing Joe Angel for the first time of the season.

O’s losing 7-2 after four. Bunch of pitchers who are who we thought they were.

Oh I'm still feeling good vibes from ST

But I’m hardly hanging any hopes on Pauley, Hennessey, or Waters so whatever.

working on my taxes

I needed something to listen to, to keep me from going nuts.

The soothing tones of Joe Angel are making it all go faster. Even if we did just give up two straight hits.

LOL

Trembley just said that Ryan Freel “put his uniform on his stool” last night to send a signal how eager he was to be in the game today.

Berger cookie shake?

Where can one of these be purchased/pilfered/gotten?

Abbey Burger Bistro

It’s on Cross St in Fed Hill, near No Way Jose. It’s pretty much the most awesome thing ever. Ice cream, berger cookies, vodka (maybe vanilla vodka, I don’t know for sure). Maybe more stuff. It’s the most awesome alcoholic milkshake you will ever taste.

Kranwich re: Matusz

“He has four pitches that really compliment each other, …and he doesn’t give in [on the mound].”

Angel: Could he make the team this season?

Chipwich: No. We’re going to take a hard look at him, but we’re not gonna rush the kidz.

Pauley

has a real issue between 3A and MLB and he has to correct that perception like ASAP. I know its way early but this is his shot to just lock down a rotation spot. Everygame he practically started in the majors has him getting rocked (yes he started against the Yanks a couple of times I believe) but its time.

Still early but….I would say he would have to feel like he let an early opportunity get away to make a good impression.

I missed the game, who had any plus side contributions…

I'm not sure he's even mastered AAA

350 innings of a 4.18 ERA with so-so peripherals.
