SU-UCONN game
OK. Who watched the SU-Uconn game?
I know this is a baseball blog, but this game is one of the top 5 NCAA games of all time. 6 OTs, Cuse coming back from being down in 5 of them. Walk ons getting in near the end. Clutch 3s. Jonny Flynn playing 67 minutes. I could go on and on. I live right near Syracuse, but am Uconn fan first, so it was a bad result for me.
In relation to Orioles, one moment that can top this will be an Orioles World Series victory. Who knows how long I'll have to wait, just praying it will be in my lifetime. I will definitely shed a tear in that case.
I think the game was a little more exciting than the Maryland-N.C. State game last night ;-)

What a bad-ass game!!
Although I am not sure if the 6 OT’s were a result of fierce competition or lack of execution. The game could have easily ended a few times but various individuals decided to keep it going by blowing makable shots. And how is that punk bitch Eric Devendorf still playing…I though he was found guilty of hitting a woman in an off-campus incident and suspended??
Facial hair adds character...support Birds for Beards!
SU? #1 team in D-III lacrosse!
Go Gulls!!!
Wait, Syracuse University? Where’s that again?

Isn't that SSU?
Kevbo: [to George Sherrill] George, you look a lot like Vin Diesel...
Flatbill: Let's get somethin' straight... Vin Diesel looks like me.

Ouch
Not anymore. Just like Towson (Go Tigers!), Salisbury dropped the “State” from its name. Some say that the word State has negative connotations, but then all you have to do is look as far as Ball State, Florida State, Michigan State, Arizona State to see that that line of reasoning might not ring true.
I was the last class at "SSU"
I graduated in 2001 and my degree says Salisbury State University. I believe starting with class of ‘02 it was Salisbury University. It sucks for one thing because my old SSU sweatshirt is getting pretty dingy, so I went to their online store and once I got there realized if I want to get a new one it’ll say Salisbury University, which as far as I’m concerned isn’t where I went to college.

Salisbury, huh?
I went to WaC (Washington College)…we’re bitter rivals!
Or would be, if I gave two shits about lacrosse. I just remember how lame the “War on the Shore” shirts were…“Wac me off” – good one, Salisbury kid!…“Suck Falisbury” – oh, I see what you did there, WaC dude!
I was on SSU’s campus my freshman year (Fall 2000) to watch a friend play women’s rugby. Seemed like a nice enough place.
It's not a horrible neighbor
I’ve always called it a beach school with an attitude, but it’s seriously tough to get into now.But the locals and the studnts get along a hell of a lot better than where I went to undergrad – UM and College Park, the town, HATE each other.

I was *this* close to going to Washington
Didn’t work out, though.
I was never in the lacrosse crowd myself. I loved my time at Salisbury although your prototypical SSU student was sort of a douche.
So your freshman year was my senior year…I’m old. I just realized the other day that I’ve been out of college twice as long as I was in.

Eh, we're all getting old
All of my friends are getting married, like, now. I just realized that my five-year reunion is in May. Eesh.
seriously? you're not even CLOSE to old.
not within flirting distance, not within spitting distance, not within a country mile.
you can start claiming “old” when you’ve been out of college for as many years as you’d been alive when you graduated.
that’s old. you know, like duck.
Thanks, z
I was just going to say that. I’m not QUITE there yet – just 19 years out. But I can see old from where I’m sitting. :)
