Camden Chat v. Federal Baseball: The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Contest
Hey everyone, the gauntlet is being thrown down in the most appropriate of ways. Who's smarter about college basketball? O's fans or Nats fans?
We'll be battling Federal Baseball (and other Washington-area SBN blogs) in CSN's picks conest sort of a thing. What you have to do:
1. Click here.
2. When you have an account, go to the Interact tab up top. Then join a public group.
3. Search for "Camden Chat" and join.
4. Make some picks when it's time to make some picks.
If this doesn't prove to the Nationals which franchise is superior, then I don't know what will.

Who's smarter about college basketball?
Isnt this contest just pitting O’s fans againts O’s fans that gave up and thought it’d be fun to root for the expo’s? Seems like its a battle of the same people.

I thought it would have been cool
if they turned the Expos logo upside down for Washington.

Someone beat you to it...

Duck Around - a progressive blog about the Eastern Shore of Maryland. And getting off my lawn.
I had forgotten just how cool the Expos logo was
Stupid Washington. Stupid strike. Stupid MLB. Major League Baseball needs to clean up its act and get a team back into Montreal.
Expos got screwed in both strike years
In ’94 they had a decent-sized lead over the Braves when the strike hit. Impossible to know what they would have done in the playoffs, but they would have been there.
In ‘81 it wasn’t exactly the strike that caused their problems, but it’s an interesting story anyway. What happened was this – Yankees were already in Series while Dodgers & Expos were waiting out snow delay at Olympic Stadium. They had the TV on in the LA locker room when a puff piece comes on about “getting the Stadium ready for the Series” or some such. And they show an electrician testing the scoreboard and sure enough “Montreal” shows up in lights as the visiting team.
Well, that’s all Tommy & his “truck drivers who try real hard” needed to see…
Then again, may be it was just their year. If memory serves me right, they were down 2-0 to Hou., Mon. & NYY before beating them all.
You can't fix stupid. Stupid is forever.
Along with the Ravens blog, Baltimore Beatdown facing the Redskins blog, Hogs Haven, this year’s tourney will be a classic Baltimore Beltway Beatdown!!!

Is it just me
or is their bracket fucked up?

It's not just you
For starters, the “pick as you go” vs. the “pick up front” makes things confusing. The pick up front wouldn’t save my picks at first, so I closed out my browser and picked again and it seems to have saved my picks.
Also, I’m not sure if it’s due to availability or a glitch, but I’m not even able to pick the first round games in the pick as you go bracket.
And why the stupid pick as you go bracket is offered in the first place is beyond me. Maybe I’ll change my tune if I win a prize.
I take it back
I just went and re-checked my bracket and some of my picks were still not saved properly. Again, it now says they are, so I’ll check again later.
no
It’s an amateur hour pain in the ass. I guess I probably shouldn’t say that since they’re an advertiser and it’s a contest, but I’m not going to lie either. Nobody that bothered to fill out a bracket is as blind as the programmers that have the Final Four matchups wrong. Score one for Comcast!
