The Matt Wieters Saga: Agent Boras is the "X-Factor"
We all marveled at top prospect Matt Wieters‘ ability as he surged through the minors in 2008, and he has now begun his spring hitting for a .400+ average. Now, the question is being asked: "Do we bring him up to be the Opening Day catcher, or do we send him down to Triple-A Norfolk to better prepare him for the pros?" I have seen and heard this topic being discussed first-hand on message boards, talk radio shows, and even Orioles’ Spring Training broadcasts.

No, no we don't.
Next question.

I am more concerned about his defense,
and learning the major league game behind the plate. Calling games. Sure, there could be an argument that he should just be up in the bigs opening day, and he can learn as he goes. But give him a little longer, let him do some work at AAA. And give us that extra service year ;-).
I am not at all concerned about his offense. I would guess his numbers would drop a little bit once he comes up. In my dreams, ZAUN has Wieteresque numbers in the first 45 days of the season.
ZAUN
shall prove us all wrong and force us to keep Wieters in the minors for all of ETERNITY!!

Nah, won't happen
‘cause Wieters can always come up and be our closer. Even ZAUN! can’t pitch to himself.
