I think this has floated around before, but it’s always cool to see.

One thing I did notice is he was on MLBN a couple weeks ago (he might be a regular, but I try to avoid their studio work now) and he doesn’t do so hot live. Maybe he was just nervous or maybe he was playing it up for laughs. I don’t know. But he’s better on video. I felt like it needed to be said that Batting Stance Guy isn’t a great live act. You know what? I’m an asshole. Everyone go back to enjoying Batting Stance Guy and I’ll shut up.

I’m not directing this at anyone, but here’s a way to get around the word limit:

1. Say more. This particular post is not one where there’s much more to say, which leads us to

some of the funky stances Cal used during his extensive number of at-bats. I can’t recall ever seeing someone change their hitting stance so frequently.

some of them are really dead on.

two things, though:

1) he missed a gimme by not doing mickey tettleton, who had one of the weirder stances you’ll see.

2) Lowenstein’s name is not pronounced LowenSTEEN. It’s LowenSTINE. As in the cheer we did in those days:

“C’mon, Lowenstein, hit the National Boh sign!”
