I think this has floated around before, but it’s always cool to see.
One thing I did notice is he was on MLBN a couple weeks ago (he might be a regular, but I try to avoid their studio work now) and he doesn’t do so hot live. Maybe he was just nervous or maybe he was playing it up for laughs. I don’t know. But he’s better on video. I felt like it needed to be said that Batting Stance Guy isn’t a great live act. You know what? I’m an asshole. Everyone go back to enjoying Batting Stance Guy and I’ll shut up.

also, re: word limits
I’m not directing this at anyone, but here’s a way to get around the word limit:
1. Say more. This particular post is not one where there’s much more to say, which leads us to
2. FanShots instead of FanPosts. If I had my druthers they’d be in the same section but I do not have my druthers.

Here's the thing
No one notices FanShots. They’re too far down the page. Stacey posted the Nationals/600-pound woman quote 6 hours prior to purpleonblack’s post of the same quote as a FanPost. Everyone noticed the FanPost and laughed, and the FanShot is still down there with zero comments.
I’m not saying it doesn’t work in theory, but in practice not so much.

I sent in a suggestion awhile back that the FanPosts and FanShots be put into the same feed so that everyone sees them. I like the FanShot format but it’s pretty useless is no one bothers to scroll down that far. My suggestion probably won’t amount to anything but I figured it couldn’t hurt to get it out there.

You aren’t telling me anything I don’t know. That’s why I wish they were all in one section, because the FanShots are a great idea that have some trouble actually working because of location.

I had almost forgotten
some of the funky stances Cal used during his extensive number of at-bats. I can’t recall ever seeing someone change their hitting stance so frequently.

some of them are really dead on.
two things, though:
1) he missed a gimme by not doing mickey tettleton, who had one of the weirder stances you’ll see.
2) Lowenstein’s name is not pronounced LowenSTEEN. It’s LowenSTINE. As in the cheer we did in those days:
“C’mon, Lowenstein, hit the National Boh sign!”
