MLB 2K9 - 2 Drinks Gary's on the mic!

http://www.gamespot.com/wii/sports/majorleaguebaseball2k9/index.html

I'm pysched - Gary Thorne is doing play-by-play for MLB2K9. I've never bought the MLB 2K series, so I'm not sure if this is news, but it will be only the 2nd baseball game I have for the Wii. And The Bigs rocked!

Sp, you're saying pass?

It doesn’t go on sale until tomorow, according to Gamespot.com

And does The Show come out on Wii?

the Show is made by sony

it only comes out on sony systems. and 2k is god awful, but I never tried the wii version, so give it a go. its the only realistic option you have on the wii anyways.

the 2K series rules

It just takes adjustments, plus they’ve redone a LOT this year. The same bugged commentary from the last three fucking years is finally gone.

2K on the Wii

is pretty fun but after a while you can hit home runs at will — I had about six guys hit 30+ and two over 50. Then you turn the difficulty up and you can’t buy a hit. HE CAN’T BUY A BUCKET.

It is horrible

Granted I have a ps3,but I played both before going with the show, it is much better. it is hard to hit and field in 2k9. The only thing better is the commentary.

Unfortunately

The Show isn’t an option for me, since I have a Wii. Wait, that didn’t sound right once I typed it…

I really wish Nintendo had come up with a better name

Every time I talk about “my Wii”, I cringe just a bit. And if I let the word “Wiimote” slip out? I feel like punching myself in the head.

ahahahaah

I love saying wiimote!

I got my Wii back at the end of January. I consider myself a huge gamer so it wasn’t the most obvious choice, but damn I love the thing. And the Zelda game is fantastic! I’m still playing The Show 06 on my PS2, though I’ve been dying to upgrade.

having played 2K9 a little

Most people would prefer The Show, I have no doubt about that. They didn’t really FIX the commentary, just re-did it. it’s better but that’s about it. It’s fun to be the O’s with Gary on the mic because then it feels like I’m playing on MASN instead of fuckin’ ESPN every game. People who like other teams won’t get that experience.

Good sountrack. Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent!, Loverboy, Len, Judas Priest, Europe.

can you add your own soundtrack on 2k this year?

I love that feature. I step up to the plate with Orioles Magic playing… just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

The 2K8 soundtrack

was pretty great. The Hold Steady, Modest Mouse, The Strokes in small doses, that Blitzen Trapper song, whoever the hell that is. But Moving in Stereo? Uh.

The Madden soundtrack is butt awful. What happened to “John MADDEN two thousand TWO”

I remember the emergence of a fresh-faced Ludacris before that even

MADDEN TWO THOU PUT YO’ FACE IN THE GRASS
WHATCHU WANT?
THE ROCK IN THE PALM O’ MY HAND
WHATCHU GOT?
I GOT JOHN MAD-DEN!
