Opening Day tickets?

Does anyone know when they usually start selling single game tickets for opening day?  I'm hoping to go to the game but because I live 6-7 hours away and don't typically know my weekly schedule I can't justify trying to buy one of the opening day packages.

I understand selling the packages now because it helps to keep the freakin' Yankee fans away, but it sucks for us O's fans who just want to be able to go to the yard for opening day.

Single tickets for OD were ons ale at Ticketmaster earlier, but I just checked and they’re not selling them right now. I’d check them out every couple days to see if they’re back on sale yet. Also if you wait close enough to OD you can probably get them from the Box Office. They are holding them back hoping you’ll buy the 6 pack but if they don’t sell them all they’ll release them just for the day.

If you don’t want to wait there is always Stub Hub and eBay but I think you can save a bunch of money just by being patient.

thank you

I waited until the day before last year when I was in school, but now that I have a job and am planning my days off I didn’t want to wait that long, but it’s good to know that they’ll be doing it sometime in the near future.

Thanks!

did opening day a couple of years ago..vs the Rays

it was a nightmare..no vendors in the upper deck..they had just a few concession stands open..you waited an inning or so just to buy an over priced draught beer…the stadium services were not equiped to handle a SELL-OUT..because so few of them occur anymore

OD tix

I also live some 6 hours away & will be in town for the weekend & am trying for tickets. I’ve been calling the box office every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. All you have to deal with is 1 or 2 kind of rude people answering the phones, but there are a few nice people who answer. I’ll be calling again tomorrow.

Blue Moon Cafe for breakfast on OD. (God – I love that place.)

PLEASE -- JUST PLEASE THROW STRIKES.

A friend of mine tried to buy the 6 pack to get OD tickets and was rebuffed. Right now you can buy Standing Room or Single tickets online but that’s it. I guess because it’s the Yankees the tickets are scarcer this year. I saw on eBay the other day a ton of the 4 pack vouchers. I’m guessing it’s Yankee fans who bought it so they could get OD tickets for cheap.
