fuckin UCLA

Oh well, I knew it was a dumb pick. Nova is putting on maybe the biggest straight-up ass-beating the tourney’s seen so far.

Sounds like Memphis

may have matched them on that. Thank God I was at a wedding and missed that disaster…

UCLA

I guess Kevin Love was a difference maker…at least in college.

Memphis is just straight-up bigger than Maryland

At every position.

My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

Nova-UCLA and Memphis-Maryland have looked similar in some ways despite being very different matchups. Villanova isn’t really big but they pushed UCLA around like a bunch of children. Memphis is doing much the same with Maryland.

Maryland is trying to force Memphis to make shots

And the Tigers are embarrassing the Terps.

If this UConn-A&M start keeps up we’re definitely in for a third straight barnburner to start round 2.

The entire tournament, sans a few games late last night, has been fairly lackluster.

That being said

The best match-ups are still to come. Gonzaga/WKU should be an awesome game, Texas could give Duke a real test, and Purdue/Wash is very evenly matched.

hmmm

Classic: Ohio State-Siena,

Great: Florida State-Wisconsin, Oklahoma State-Tennessee, Illinois-Western Kentucky, UCLA-VCU

Good / Solid / Entertaining: Wake Forest-Cleveland State, LSU-Butler, Pitt-ETSU, Memphis-CSN, Kansas-NDSU, Marquette-Utah State (score was really close and it was a good game, but it really was rather boring for the entire first half), Clemson-Michigan, Villanova-American

Eh: Everything else

OSU/Siena + FSU/Wiconsin were the best two games

And they both took place at like one last night. UCLA/VCU was pretty good as well, actually.

I guess you could consider games like Nova/American good, but the premier games are the ones that come down to the final few seconds.

I refuse

to consider any game Wisconsin is involved in as “best” or “exciting.” The magic number for the first round was 13. There were somethign like 6-7 games that ended with 13 point spreads.

I think Texas has a real shot at beating Duke.

Bout time for the Sooners! Hopefully B. Griffin doesn’t get pile drived (driven?) or a belly to back suplex in this one.

Five points isn't so bad

At least your team’s keeping it within single digits. Unlike some other teams being rooted for here today.

I forgot

the michigan connection…should have stuck around. Was a good game. It’s been fun watching both the Griffin bros. but the “cut to parents” shot is REALLY old. If…IF…they continue to get good guard play and can get the on the ball D played by Crocker in the 2nd half they could make some noise!

Yeah. I’m really sick of their parents. Maybe if Manny doesn’t get into so much foul trouble it’s a slightly different game, but Blake was just too much inside. He was making some ridiculous shots on good D.
