Did you know about Trembley and Montanez?
About 6 and a half years ago Lou went as Luis and he was a struggling first round draft choice of the Cubs playing under Trembley in Daytona.
After nine seasons Trembley was let go by the Cubs, partly because he failed to make sure Montanez succeeded. Some of the players, including Montanez and his agent, claimed that Trembley worked his players too hard.

Trembley, Montanez, and MacPhail Triology
I think this entire “Cub” episode has carried over to the Orioles doorstep. I honestly don’t think Sweet Swinging Lou will get a chance in Baltimore. As much as I enjoy his play I hope we can package him and get some young pitching. Then he could get a chance in another organization that will use all of their players to win instead of playing “games” and “politics” with careers.
You're right
Trembley and MacPhail conspired to sign Lou Montanez just to keep him in the minors forever just to spite him! Muahahahahahahaahahhahaha!
