Asked if he looks back favorably on his time in Baltimore, Tejada said, "Always. I enjoyed being with the Orioles. I'm a free agent this year. You never know. I might be coming back."

He's still young
Low risk/high reward. Pull the trigger, Andy!
My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver
I would say
That I have about as good a chance as Tejada of playing with the Orioles in the future.
Don't bring ......
that cancer back to this organization. We’re going in the semi-right direction now.

Are we sure we actually know his age?
He could still be in his 20s

or, like...
maybe he has that benjamin button disease or something.

Miguel's OPS+ since he came to Baltimore
2004 :131
2005: 128
2006: 126
2007: 109
2008: 92
If counting numbers are more your style, he had 13 HR, 66 RBI last year in 632 AB. He also posted a K:BB ratio of 3 to 1 for the first time since 1998.
He’s got a disease, alright.
It's called aging
And it’s a lot more advanced than we were led to believe.

Amen to that
I didn’t realize just how far he’d fallen off last year until I looked up the numbers. But he had 38 doubles in ’08, so, um…good for him.
I'm not great with stats (I trust my eyes! haha), but is that like ERA?
where lower is better???
hahaha
Fahey almost did that well!

Miggy, look at the calendar
It ain’t April 1, dude. Stop kidding like this.

We beat the Dominican Republic today.
We are taking over the world, one country at a time.
Soon, the entire planet will be Birdland.
sort of like the board game Risk
in that case, taking down Japan is the key.

How could he be doing his job when he didn't throw me out of the game after the things I called him?

I don’t have much against Miggy. Steroids and all. He clearly hated all the losing and buffoonery in the Orioles nuthouse. He probably should have put on a better show given his salary. He got his change of scenery. My biggest lament is MacPhail didn’t pillage the Astros as badly as the Mariners in his trade.
That he got a warm body
for a aging SS who’s power numbers were declining, is actually two years older than originally believed, and was dealt on the day before the Mitchell Report dropped is a pillaging, let alone 5, including our current starting DH, 2 useful arms, 1 project arm and a organizational position player.

It's still not as good as what MacPhail did to the Mariners.
Read the “as badly”" modifier. Jones and hopefully Tillman will be the real keepers in those two trades.

Fuck Tejada.
I don’t hate him personally or anything, but the only time I’d ever expect to see him in Orange and Black again is if Brian Sabean is still running the Giants this time next year.
"Might as well just win this game." - Adam Jones, 4/17/2008
Adam Jones is the tits.
I say cut the guy a break...
The dude’s been through enough with death in his family and be targeted by Congress in their absurd steroid witch hunt (not that he wasn’t guilty). I mean, would you rather have the guy trashing the city and its fans because of the way things turned out? None of which should make anyone think I want the guy back. But I wish him the best somewhere else.
"If you know how to cheat, start now." - Earl Weaver
he has been a liar for years
I just don’t like the dude and I’m never going to.
"If they cut my bald head open, they will find one big boxing glove. That's all I am. I live it." -- Marvin Hagler
Tejada played
with a lot on his mind last year, knowing that he was going to have to face his perjury charge, the steroid accusations and a two year age difference. Its possible that weighed him down some.
Still he is 35 and I cant see the O’s looking at him as a 3b option. But I wont discount Miquel having somewhat of a bounce back this year in Houston.
