GameThread: Rangers (8-9) @ Orioles (8-10)
Texas Rangers at Baltimore Orioles, Apr 26, 2009 1:35 PM EDT
Game time is 1:35.
If Bergesen can keep doing what he did his first time out, we've got a nice piece of the rotation. Go get 'em, B-Squared.

What bad call?
That ball was foul by 8 feet
Matt Wieters took batting practice this morning. There were no survivors.
Won't be on here long..
but that was refreshing. 1-2-3 inning for Bergy. 12 strikes, 3 balls. Awesome, or what? Hope he keeps it up.
when i say "won't be on here long"
i mean me, not bergesen.
AJ was safe.
I don’t think Young actually made that tag.

I guess we'd decided it had been too long without a dumbass out on the bases
And by too long I mean about 3 games
Hello Everyone. Baserunning is something this team can not overcome.
Baserunning is a problem we just can’t seem to master on a consistent basis. Buck and Thorn praise BRob and Jones. Next play we have no clue

Rangers can hit.
Who is their hitting coach?
"The Minor Leagues. Where it all begins and they still play for the love of the game"
Rangers have a lot of good hitters. It has little to do with the hitting coach. I actually feel much the same about Crowley, but Crowley has been given rope like no coach I’ve ever seen in my life.

Hey, it’s TEX. A ball’s gonna go over the wall just abouyt every game. But a double, HR, and a long single? Not liking this inning as much as the first.

Comment for Y Not
You asked in yesterday’s game thread why I and others think Padilla was throwing at guys on Friday. Buck commented on Friday night’s MASN telecast that some Texas players felt like Matt Albers hit Andruw Jones on purpose in the last series and felt like the score needed to be evened out for that.
I don’t see why he would have said that if it wasn’t something that was the case. The way he was throwing – several times up and in throughout the game – and the fact that he suspiciously hit Markakis after being left in while he appeared to be gassed, well, I think that was on purpose.

I do want to see retaliation from our pitching staff. I want us to pitch inside. I want guys backed off the plate. I don’t want Texas hitters digging in. They hit MVP and we hit a fat buffoon (Andruw Jones). But I want us to pitch inside.

You can't play for Texas if you can't hit. But
You can play for the O’s. We will let you start, play left field, and learn as you go at the major league level and help lose games as you learn. Pathetic.

Just so you know I was not referring to Brad.
I was referring to the hitting and fielding. I thought Brad pitched a good game. Texas is tough and you need to score runs to beat them. We needed to score to keep Brad’s confidence up. But now we are leading and I am happy. lol
