Through 15 games this season, the Delmarva starters have posted a 1.99 ERA, allowing just 64 hits and 23 walks in 81 innings pitched.

"We've got a bunch of guys and they all throw strikes, get ahead of hitters," Delmarva starter Ryan O'Shea said. "We've all got three pitches that we can throw for strikes whenever we want. Anytime you can do that, you're going to be successful."

The starters also have struck out 63 batters in their 81 innings and part of their success, Shorebirds manager Orlando Gomez thinks, is the fact that they have not looked for those strikeouts.
