O's Jones making his mark
Everywhere you look there is another article about Adam Jones. Some excerpts:
All he has done so far this year is lead the Orioles in batting average (.358), total bases (75), doubles (12), extra-base hits (19) and slugging percentage (.480). He's tied with Nick Markakis for the team lead in hits (43) and runs (33), and with Markakis and Aubrey Huff in home runs (six).
Last season, he approached Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter, the owner of eight Gold Gloves, and informed Hunter of his plans to win the award.
When told by a writer from a fantasy baseball publication this spring that he was being projected to hit .260 with 12 home runs and 50 RBIs in 2009, Jones scoffed. "I was thinking, 'Thanks for the vote of confidence, you jerk,' " Jones said, smiling.

Who does AJ's swing remind you of?
He is certainly a fine looking specimen of a ballplayer taking his hacks, very classic, quick smooth and powerful. I can’t find any video to compare at the moment, but is there a little resemblance to Ken Singleton?

Which clown projected him for .260-12-50?
He missed 30 games last year and drove in 57, and didn’t even have the luxury of hitting behind Brian Roberts all year.
Hell, it’s mid-May and he’s 67% of the way to their HR projection and halfway there on RBI. Nice job, Kreskin.
