Predictions for Eaton vs. Greinke

Please choose one of the following:  Feel free to discuss, explain your choices.  I'm babbling because I need 75 words.  I'm rooting for B but expecting C.  I think Pie is starting to heat up.  I hope Reimold stays hot.  Nick Markakis is good at baseball.

A) No hitter, 17Ks

B) ESPN: Greinke gives up 7 runs in blowout loss to OTHER_BASEBALL_TEAM

C) Eaton is Eaton, Greinke is Greinke, KC 7 BAL 1

D) None of the above.

I predict pain.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

I pity the fool

The fool, in this case, clearly being Adam Eaton. But man, if Grienke kills Kranitz, I’ll be pissed.

You really can't have a better start to the season than what Greinke has had

But at some point theres gotta be some regression to the mean. But, I just don’t see that starting tonight.

I do like our chances in the other three games in this series.

Doesn’t it seem like we always play a four game series in KC every year?

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I watched some of Greinke's "loss"

It was a tough loss. He was excellent, but got too many 3-2 counts to look as dominating as I’ve seen before. He might be running out of gas, or maybe he just got an unfriendly ump that game.

someone has to hit him hard, right?
then again, everyone gets to hit eaton hard, so whatever.

You want funny? I mean FUNNY? Greinke gets lit up by our lefties and yanked -- ahahahahahahaha!!! -- but then

he is relieved in the 3rd by longman Sid, who shuts us down over the next 5 and picks up the win when our f*cking pen blows another one.

Ahahahahahahahahawaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh……….

This was previous years but in the last 2 years Grienke's line is..

7.2 innings
9 hits
7 ER
1 BB
7 K
Thats a 8.75 ERA so you know we have a chance of winning just not a very good one

I was just looking at Greinke’s stats this year on B-R.com and his OPS+ is 906. I didn’t know that was even possible! The next closest person is Jered Weaver at 196. (I know, it’s only been 7 starts, but that’s just absurd)

Small sample size

I think Cliff Lee was in the 1000+ range after a couple months last year. He’s having a superhuman season so far for sure. Wouldn’t it be nice to be the ones to deliver regression?

Choice A

Eaton will pitch a no hitter with 17 Ks.

by silverstadium on May 15, 2009 9:39 AM EDT reply actions

Greinke is obviously

pitching over his head…hell, he is pitching over everyone’s head. However, I really think we can pull one out here. It’s still the Royals people…we own them suckas!!

I'm afraid that whatever we do to Greinke

won’t be enough. Then again, there’s a new sherriff in town in the BP—the innings-eater!

The Royales have their

own innings eater in Sir Sid. Of course, he doesn’t discrimate against other types of food.
