Orioles manager Dave Trembley is expected to reveal Tuesday’s starter before tomorrow afternoon’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The favorite appears to be right-hander Jason Berken, who’s 2-0 with a 1.05 ERA in five starts at Triple-A Norfolk. Berken has walked six and struck out 16 in 25 2/3 innings.
Chris Waters (4-2, 4.74 ERA) is scheduled to start tomorrow night against the Toledo Mud Hens. So far, he hasn’t been scratched, and he remains a possibility to join the Orioles. But I’m sticking with Berken as my pick.
Berken wasn’t invited to spring training, and he returned to Double-A Bowie after going 12-4 with a 3.58 ERA for the Baysox last season. He didn’t stay there long, and he might be making another jump. We should know for sure in about 14 hours

WNST.net

just sent a text saying it’s expected to be Berken.

Matt Wieters took batting practice this morning. There were no survivors.
