Blue Jays (27-20) at Orioles (18-26), 1:35 pm

Toronto Blue Jays at Baltimore Orioles, May 25, 2009 1:35 PM EDT

Masn_medium

Game time is 1:35.

Quick post because I'm on vacation today. Aren't you?Toronto is coming back to the pack, but still clinging to first. They've lost 6 straight and will want to try to bounce back againt, um, the last-place Orioles.

Guts has always pitched well against Toronto, yet is 1-3 against them. Last time he saw them was an 8-inning complete game he pitched (and lost) on May 3.

Cito still sucks.

Pre-game gem with Roch Kubatko

Addressing the performance of Chris Ray and Jamie Walker lately: “If you’re Dave Trembley, you’re handcuffed right now. That’s great if you’re on a date with Paris Hilton, but not so great for a major league manager.”

Sometimes I can’t believe he gets away with these. Sometimes I can’t believe he thinks they’re funny.

Interesting you mentioned Snyder

I attended 3 of 4 games in Harrisburg, PA. Brandon hit two HRs one of which was a grand slam. He is hitting .355 with 9 HRs and leads the Eastern league with 37 RBIs. They play at 7pm tonight. I would say he is on time. Getting better in the field and can stretch for a throw to the ground. Next season he should be in Norfolk and possibly a call up during the season if he can hit AAA pitching.

which is in the middle of a west coast road trip. June 9th starts a new homestand and would be the most likely time for the call-up.

The infield looks terrible right now

I really can’t believe they didn’t put in a rain delay after the top of the 7th. It’s official, the home team is ahead so the bottom of the inning is moot. Maybe they expect it to clear up, but it sure doesn’t make any sense to me.
