Well, if there has been one constant in my baseball life, from the time I can remember when I was 5 or 6 years old, it was that I have hated the Yankees. Hated them. From the callused (sp?) soles of my 50 yr old feet to the balding top of my 50 yr old head, I just hate these sons of bithches. I don’t care what year it is, who plays for them, who they are playing, what their record is, who on their team uses steroids or woos strippers or dates freakin Madonna. I don’t care. I hate them. From their stupid ass pinstripes to that no talent hack Susan Waldman, I just hate them. I hate them because, well, they are the Yankees.
There are 19 times a year when I hate them more than other nights, and that is when our beloved O’s play them. The rest of the year, I just hate them. I even root for the freakin PHN’s when they play the Yankees. It gives me a great deal of heartburn, but I do it anyway.
I hate Jeffrey Maier.
I hate Derek Jeter.
I hate ol’ back to back Rivera.
I hate Jonny Damon.
I hate Robinson Cano.
I hate that fat pig Jaba.
I hate – now really hate – Texiera.
and more than anyone else, I hate A-Roid Fraudriguez. He is a self centered, whiny, crybaby, punk ass lying sack of worthless shit. So to hell with you Yankees – to hell with you.

I don’t care about roids very much. I always actually kinda liked A-Rod, if only because I thought he was a great player who got a raw deal from fans and writers. Now I’m just kinda into indifference about him, but I can’t outright hate him any more than I can hate most of the Yankees.
In fact, aside from Jeter I can’t really hate many of the current Yankees. Not even Tex. Corporate mercenaries just leave me cold. Oh well.

Made me wonder how does a minor leaguer with ability keep motivated in the Yankee organization? Unless they are a total stud player they don’t have a chance to make it to the majors. A Trenton fan made the point that NY is not the town for young talent because high paying NY fans want the celebrity/big star ballplayer as opposed to the young player (Felix Pie, Adam Jones) playing and learning everyday at the big league level.

As a pitcher? If you’re good, you’ll always find a place. If you’re a SS more than 2 years away, you’ve got a shot – Jeter can’t keep going forever. Outfield? Have you SEEN who they’re running out there? Catcher? Within a year, they’ll need one.
Now, corner infielder? Yeah, you’re screwed. But almost anywhere else, the Yankees, like most teams in baseball, are at most 3 seasons away from needing a replacement.

I know they are good.
It gets a little annoying to hear your broadcast team “slobber” all over themselves with unabashed praise for the opposition. I can handle a few innings but not the entire game. Every time A-Rod steps to the plate etc.
