Argh.
Good thing Wieters has started to hit so he can sit tonight when I’m going to see him.
Thanks, Dave.
From the Land of Pleasant Living...
I was pondering this
and I decided that it’s because of Koji never pitching to Wieters and his lack of English, it might be good for him to pitch to Zaun his first time out. But I’m still annoyed. He should at least be DH’ing.
I will lead these Peoples to the promised land, also known as "Slightly Ahead of the Blue Jays." ~WietersRunDry
But if you DH Wieters...
you end up losing either Luke or Reimold in the line-up, which I’m not in favor of.

Wieters is still available to pinch hit.
Which he just might anytime after the fifth inning or so.

Yeah kind of odd...
but you have to think that if they’re going to do this Wieters catches five times a week thing, then you have to give Zaun Koji and maybe Rich Hill? I feel like you’re messing with Berken and Berge’s chi when you switch catches on them so much. That and it’s the old whipping boy Olsen tonight… The Orioles haven’t hit a home run from someone other than Luke Scott or Reimold in quite some time. You have to keep Scott and Nolan in the lineup. It’s Matt’s day to sit I guess.
How is it Matt's day to sit?
He just had two off days within the last week, and he has 4 hits his last 2 games. Koji’s gonna have to pitch to Matt eventually (I highly doubt Zaun will get him every time)
He’s also still batting Mora 5th, for reasons passing understanding. Is he slugging his weight over the past month?
Koji's first start back
I’d like him to be throwing to a guy he’s comfortable with, he’ll get to Wieters before too long.

Eh I guess that doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me
It’s not as though he hasn’t pitched in 4 months.
Wieters’ apparent skill at game-calling just makes it less of a factor imo.
Trembley's lineup making surpasses (or defies) all understanding.
apparently it is AN IRONCLAD RULE that Wieters get today off because he has caught the last five games. Also, MORA MUST BAT FIFTH! These are apparently commandments. So take your logic and get the heck out of here. ;)

I think there's a lot of truth to this
I feel like he wanted to sit Wieters today, whether because he caught 5 in a row, or because of Koji coming back, and he made that decision days ago, and then ignored the fact that Wieters was getting hot. So, it was a bad decision in the first place, and then steadily holding fast to it with Wieters’ last 2 games was even worse
Unless it's to our benefit.

I haven't really seen that with him this year. He's spraying the ball all over the field with power depending on where the pitch is.
Seems fine to me.

The Yerks are losing to the Sox – again. Zombie David Ortiz rose up and hit an opposite field home run off Manatee CC Needsabathia. That was weird. Better was Nick Swisher getting doubled off second on a fly ball to left to end an inning that the Yerks had 2 on and no outs.

If he's good on hitting things
maybe we should let him bat?

Frankly I'm not sure he COULD successfully hit someone
with the control he just displayed.

The counter argument for team chemistry?
Just to prevent massive slump, is it good to have not so nice team chemistry?
Every player
should have a cubicle in the locker room.
No, they need less pampering
how bout someone call engineering for OPACY and have the hot water in the O’s lockerroom turned off.

If we're going to go all MAJOR LEAGUE on the team
how about a Willie Mays-Hayes style punishment for swinging (and making an out) on the first pitch?

With a big performance board like in Glengarry Glenross
Cadillac…steak knives…and you’re fucking fired…Prison Rules
I like a CF who takes charge and all, but I don't know why he needed to catch that ball.
Reimold was planted under it and it seemed pretty clearly a LFers ball.
12,260? very generous attendance
looks like 5,000
Wieters is HERE and The Phils are in First, doesn't get much better:)
bottom of the 9th...
HEY! lets pinch hit for Zaun!
Wieters is HERE and The Phils are in First, doesn't get much better:)
why is Zaun coming up to bat here?
We have at least 3 better hitters on the bench, two of which can bat lefty. Fuckin’ hell.

I was also counting Salazar, but you're probably right.

I wish just one reporter has the balls
To ask Trembley honest questions. Sick of his BS
Brandon Snyder, 1B. Remember that name.
Congrats to the "Little King" on Shrek I
His first win of the season and probably his only win unless he faces the O’s again
Brandon Snyder, 1B. Remember that name.
Olson's name
will be in the same sentence together with Justin Verlander, Jackson, Bedard and king Felix as one of the “good pitching” we run into!
Congrats!
nice analogy!
never would’ve thought of that.

I might just need to take a day or two of from watching this lovely team.

This team
is getting worse and worse to watch.
I mean, I don’t mean to be negative or anything. But seriously, what else is there to say. It’s brutal. I tend to put the TV on pause and fast forward to see if anything happens. It’s that bad.
Please start scoring some runs… or I just may cry. Or maybe these guys just aren’t worth crying over.
On the plus side, I have Tommy Hanson on my fantasy team
So I’m looking forward to his line tomorrow to be somethink like
9.0 IP, 2H, 1BB, 12 K

If these clowns don't at least play above .400 for the rest of the month
I’m not even going to bother seeing them when they come to Anaheim…
I’d be much happier sitting in my bathroom flus my hopes, dreams, and some money down the terlit…

the way I see it
I blame the stupid rain. before it everything goes as plan: Olson is throwing balls, people are getting on base, koji is sort of crusing(I know, sort of), after it everything falls apart. they should build a openable dome or something on the ball park.
Milli-Vanilli did the same thing
and look how that worked out for them

Just a thought if this keeps up..
Not that Baltimore fans would do this, but if they keep playing this ugly up through saturday, maybe some of those crab mallets they give away will go flying at them!!

just kidding by the way
I’ll boo like crazy if needed but i’ll never throw anything.

I thought phili fans throw snow ball to santa :)
If you throw something, I would understand
to answer that, even though....
I can’t stand the Eagles for many reasons, I have to defend them on the santa thing, yeah it happened, but t was in 1967.a lot of nasty fan things in many cities have happened since. The news media needs to give the city a break since fans of ALL Philly fans are associated with that. And what they never report was santa was drunk, but anyway..I just find it funny that the o’s are basically giving out weapons, those mallots cab hurt someone! So I made a joke they way their playing…
Wieters is HERE and The Phils are in First, doesn't get much better:)
I was bringing that up for fun.
Good to know the santa was drunk though
it is time
to pull “Trembles” into the front office and give him his pink slip!! Man this man is retarted (no offence to retards), he actually thinks he knows what he’s doing….. I really think if this blood letting keeps happening old “Trembles” won’t make it to the All Star break as O’s manager, hey Andy McFlop give him the boot before this thing totally derails and we end up with the Nats record, gulp!!

I don't know guys, this team is starting to seem kind of stinky to me.
