Argh.
Good thing Wieters has started to hit so he can sit tonight when I’m going to see him.
Thanks, Dave.

I was pondering this
and I decided that it’s because of Koji never pitching to Wieters and his lack of English, it might be good for him to pitch to Zaun his first time out. But I’m still annoyed. He should at least be DH’ing.

But if you DH Wieters...
you end up losing either Luke or Reimold in the line-up, which I’m not in favor of.

Wieters is still available to pinch hit.
Which he just might anytime after the fifth inning or so.

Yeah kind of odd...
but you have to think that if they’re going to do this Wieters catches five times a week thing, then you have to give Zaun Koji and maybe Rich Hill? I feel like you’re messing with Berken and Berge’s chi when you switch catches on them so much. That and it’s the old whipping boy Olsen tonight… The Orioles haven’t hit a home run from someone other than Luke Scott or Reimold in quite some time. You have to keep Scott and Nolan in the lineup. It’s Matt’s day to sit I guess.
by Kooz on Jun 11, 2009 6:23 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
How is it Matt's day to sit?
He just had two off days within the last week, and he has 4 hits his last 2 games. Koji’s gonna have to pitch to Matt eventually (I highly doubt Zaun will get him every time)
He’s also still batting Mora 5th, for reasons passing understanding. Is he slugging his weight over the past month?

Koji's first start back
I’d like him to be throwing to a guy he’s comfortable with, he’ll get to Wieters before too long.

Eh I guess that doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me
It’s not as though he hasn’t pitched in 4 months.
Wieters’ apparent skill at game-calling just makes it less of a factor imo.
by U2boy417 on Jun 11, 2009 7:10 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Trembley's lineup making surpasses (or defies) all understanding.
apparently it is AN IRONCLAD RULE that Wieters get today off because he has caught the last five games. Also, MORA MUST BAT FIFTH! These are apparently commandments. So take your logic and get the heck out of here. ;)

I think there's a lot of truth to this
I feel like he wanted to sit Wieters today, whether because he caught 5 in a row, or because of Koji coming back, and he made that decision days ago, and then ignored the fact that Wieters was getting hot. So, it was a bad decision in the first place, and then steadily holding fast to it with Wieters’ last 2 games was even worse

Do it for the Crow!
Come on O’s break out the bats and do Crowley proud. He’s been the rock through all these years of dismal teams and coaching staff churn. He’s been the batting coach par excellence for over ten years now. If you boys can’t bust out under his tutelage, MacPhaiil will need to round up some players who can.

Meanwhile
The Yerks are losing to the Sox – again. Zombie David Ortiz rose up and hit an opposite field home run off Manatee CC Needsabathia. That was weird. Better was Nick Swisher getting doubled off second on a fly ball to left to end an inning that the Yerks had 2 on and no outs.

I figured out a while ago
That I hold no real ill will towards Boston. Some of their fans are mindless frat boy sheep, sure, but that organization does a lot of things the right way. And they shove their history down my throat. Don’t get me wrong, I’d prefer anybody win over Boston, except for the Yankees.
So I’m okay rooting for them against New York.

Really It doesn't apply at all.
Its more like 3lbs a foot. 75*3 =225. Much more accurate.
So relatively Griffey would weigh 217 at 6’. Only a 10lb difference. Griffey is still fat.
