Huff to the Mets... what should we get?

But hey I think Huff did his part in this series to sell himself as the clutch hitting first baseman to put a marginal team over the top. Too bad he could not make that basket catch.

Now what is fair value for the Man-Horse. Technically at this point it is a (late)first round draft pick and a supplemental pick. In reality it is probably a second tier prospect. Does anyone have any input or likes in the Mets system. I like the idea of that 16 year old venezuelan shortstop. But he may be untouchable.

This may just happen

But it would be a lot easier if MLB would allow teams to trade picks. But…

The Mets do have a few middle infield prospects that we despertly need. If Andy could some how find a way to get Flores from them, I see no reason why he wouldnt swing the deal.

If not, guys like Ruben Tejada(19 Year Old SS, Already Hits Better Then Izturiz ever did), Jefry Marte(19 Year Old 3B, Decent Pop, Clutch Hitter) and a few pitchers like Holt, Mejia, Parnell, and Beaulac could also be Oriole options if Andy decides the Mets are his best bet

Considering how frequently baseball prospects miss or at least fail to live up to expectations, I’m not sure what value MLB draft picks would have in trades. I can’t imagine you would get nearly the return of NFL picks, it would be interesting to see how they would affect the trade market.

OK Evil militants of Hasbro

I have got no problem with editing misleading post titles.
But you are to quick to assume to know my intentions. I wasn’t trying to drive traffic through sensationalism. I was trying to lightheartedly insult the ironman poster always looking for the ‘official’ word. Because that is what we do.

hey dude

1) I said “I suspect”; and whether it was intentional or not, the title had to change
2) The fact that you had an asterisk directly following it that acknowledged it was a misleading title kind of belies your claim

I get it. You were being ironic. No worries. And I’m really not that evil. :)

You REALLY don't like Luke, do you?

I mean, as a player, not a person.

Any type of

middle infield or first base prospects. I know there is the old saying “you can never have to much pitching,” but if we want our young guys to gel at roughly the same time, then SS and 3B have to start becoming a priority. It would also be nice to get a very good young 2B to fill in for Roberts if injuries come about, or he becomes tradable. Grabbing a 1B would be nice to compete with Brandon Snyder for the future role.

I'd like Tejada

but I dont know if I’d wanna give up Huff for him if it’s just gonna create another position where we have no one ready to go. Then again, there’s Brandon Snyder…
