Oriole Jersey help/questions
So I'm about to buy my first O's Jersey in about ten years. I figured it would be a piece of cake to go online and order a replica jersey of my man, Adam Jones. I was wrong.
First of all, I'd hoped to get a gray road jersey, but they don't seem to come with customization from the O's website. WTF? And even with the home jersey, if I order it, it will ship "in 7-10 business days", which seems a little long.... I mean, they must have a ton of Adam Jones jerseys lying around in all sizes.
Anyway, here are my questions:
1) Has anyone seen a version of the road "Baltimore" jersey with player name & number on the back?;
2) Are there stores around Camden Yards or the harbor that carry the replica jerseys pre-sewn, in stock, with players' names on them? And if so, can you tell me their names/locations, as I'd like to call arpound and see if I can get someone to ship me one off the rack.
The urgency is because I'm going to two of the Angels games the first week of July and I want to be sporting the new threads by then.
Bonus poll: I have only seen these jerseys in pictures; you who are in Smalltimore have probably actually seen them up close. If you think I should get a different jersey, I'd be curious which one. I can spend up to about a c-note, and whatever it is, I want it to be clear when I'm in an enemy stadium that I'm an Oriole fan.

I agree...
But I’m waiting for the Black Alternate Road jersey with the scripted Baltimore on the chest.

the O's store in Camden
has new replicas in stock with name/number. Last time I went was Wieters day +1 and they already had rep. away Wieters jerseys. I’m sure they have tons of others too.

I have no knowledge on jerseys
But I voted for the road jersey because you gotta represent our fine city out in La La land.

Marshalls has a bunch of stuff....
At least, they had a bunch of those Cooperstown classic hats – and it looked like they had some jerseys, but I wasn’t looking at them. Might be worth taking a look – I got a mid-60s Oriole cap for $5. It was the store in Randallstown – I think it was on Liberty Blvd….

I have a home jersey and love it
But I voted you the road jersey just because you definitely go to more road games than home. Just makes sense.
btw, why are you buying a replica? You can get a blank authentic for only $100, and then get the letters and numbers sewn on yourself. You can get the letters for something like $8. Try this. Eastern Lettering
And may I suggest a seam-ripper on that busy Orioles wordmark on the right sleeve.
I did it for my Adam JOnes jersey last year. And by the way, it is still the only replica OR authentic 2008 Jones jersey I’ve seen at the yard! If people have a Jones jersey, it’s 2009.

where are you seeing the blank authentic for $100?
I’m seeing them at $150 and above.

I guess that might be the team store price
Based on where I actually GOT the jersey from. Looking at eBay, blank authentics don’t go for more than $120.
But it sounds like you’re happy regardless.

I prefer the Friday night Jersey (minus "O's" hat)
Black Jersey, Orioles in orange
The online store is terrible, they seem to be very limitied in what they offer.

Thanks all, for the input.
I called the warehouse. They had AJ jerseys in stock and ready to ship….for an extra $50! Yup, they place a surcharge on customizing a jersey.
It appears that most outlets don’t stock a few extras and instead make every shirt to order, which is just idiotic. I can understand not stocking an Oscar Salazar jersey, but Adam Jones? C’mon.
Looking all over the web, I finally found this place in Reisterstown which had the Adam Jones road replica, in stock, in my size. I should receive it Thursday. :)

How funny - I just drove by that store today!
I never noticed it in that shopping center before and just saw it today. I may have to investigate the inventory in person for myself.
BTW, fights have started over less than calling an Owings Mills address as being in Reisterstown, and vice versa. :)

The Babe Ruth Museum next to OPACY has custom jerseys of Jones and Wieteres
They also have the hall of fame jerseys which run in the $300 dollar area.
I ordered my grey road “Baltimore” jersey from MLB. They customized it with my name and number. I am sure you could pay around $270 and have Adam Jones’ name and number placed on it. The fabric is soft and very breathable. Something new MLB is trying this year.
