Berken almost pitched what I predicted. I said 6 innings and with 3 runs given up. He pitched 5 innings with 3 runs giving up. The orioles couldn’t muster any runs off of Rick Nolasco. The mental mistakes didn’t help either. Thoughts things constantly drive me nuts. especially on the base paths. In the bottom of the ninth when Melvin Mora lead off. The third baseman for the marlins (Bonifacio) bobbled the ball like 3 times and I was thinking to myself he has to be safe at first but no he wasn’t. I think Mora with his age is getting slower and slower.
Tonight the orioles have rich hill on the mound and the Marlins have Sean west. It should be a pretty good pitching matchup. As west is 2 and 2 with a 3.97 ERA and Hill is 3 and 1 with a 5.18 ERA. Now you don’t know what you are going to get from Rich Hill. He could look like he is contending for a CY Young award or look like he was just brought up. Now I don’t know where the oriole’s offense has been? It seemed to have sparked up a little bit last week but these last two nights have scared me a little bit. So hopefully they will bust out with some run support tonight. That being said we are 7 and 10 in our last ten games and I hope that we keep the ball rolling. This weekend I encourage you to get out to the yard. Trust me the players feel a boost when they get a little home cooking. Also we don’t need thoughts wine and cheese Nats fans at the yard either.
