Roberts: Career .285+ hitter
Jones: Still hiting .315
Markakis: Career .295+ hitter
Pitching:
Hendo: Banished to bullpen
Eaton: Released
Hill: Costs us just $400K, can be cut at any time
Berken: Still young, can go back to AAA for seasoning
Koji: Useful from ’pen, where he is destined to end up
Point is, 6 of the 9 hitters in this lineup will be here next here, and 1 of the main issues – Mora – will be gone. Roberts, Markakis, Jones, Wieters, Reimold will produce. Andino and Izturis will defend. 3B is the one issue we don’t have an answer for.
We suck this year. We suck REALLY BAD for parts of this month. But a lot of these problems in the lineup will solve themslves over the next 6 months without firing the manager.

These guys are still young. Discipline needs to be drilled into them.
I don’t think Trembley should be fired, but he needs be clearer that bad at-bats—particularly bad situational at-bats—will not be tolerated. It’s one thing to think you “see your pitch” on the first pitch of the AB when it’s early in the game. It’s quite another to do that shit with two guys on and a guy who has lost the plate. Some of our best hitters (Wieters is another one who has done this a lot) don’t seem to know that difference.

His power is legit. I was hoping he would fall to the O’s in that draft. Although it doesn’t look like he is going to hit for much average. Enjoy watching him (if you can catch him in BP that might be fun). Keep an eye out for Daniel Moskos, and think about how glad we are that the Pirates took him instead of Wieters.
