I did not watch this game. Well, technically, I caught about two innings of it. And those two innings pretty much sucked.

So instead, I will link to the pre-authorized recap: Orioles vs Marlins recap

If you ACTUALLY WATCHED part of this game, feel free to put your vote in for MBP in the comments. I'm sure as hell not making a poll. Bring on the Nats!

is .500 possible

with this club?? I cannot understand how we can go into Philly and defeat the 2008 World Series Champs and then get swept by the Fish in Mi-Hammy?? This has to be the most up n down O’s team that I can recall, but at least it’s they’re better than the Nats.

Is .500 possible? Sure it is.

Next April, we’ll start 0-0.

As for this year? I still say maybe. We have young pitching to bring up, and one young hitter, to forestall the annual August swoon.

Will it happen? I doubt it. But it could.

I think there shouldn't be a vote

It should just go directly to Nick. Glad I went to see Transformers 2 instead of watching this game. It may not have been a great movie, but it was better than this crap.

She was sexcellent. Indeed

I got a scowl from the girl I am dating because I kept saying “holy crap” or “oh…my…god” when she’d come on in some skimpy outfit.

Some of the dialogue was laughable. And by some I mean most of it.

+1

The O’s have been relegated to the back burner. Family events always take priority, but even on those days when the time slot is free, I find myself only taking a peek at the games only once in a while. It’s the typical Orioles ennui.

I'm the opposite this year at least so far

This year, I have been seriously baseball deprived. I’ve been to 10 games, which is probably more than most, but other than those games, I’m just about always at work.

But August is a different story altogether. That is some stuff you almost brace yourself for as you check in for a second.

The second half of the season will be interesting.

I’m not assuming it will be interesting baseball. Who knows if the team will go into it’s usual demise. MacPhail has said he would like to end on an upswing. So, the guaranteed interesting story will be whether the second half is the end of Diamond Dave. Schmuck finally said it yesterday. It was clearly qualified as opinion, but he did say he thinks that Trembley is gone if the team does the usual post-July tank job.

We may not get to watch good baseball, but there will be a story to watch. I guess you have to take what you can with this franchise.

.500 road trip

swept by fish after sweeping dumb phillies
if we play .500 on road and win series at home we’ll finish at or just above .500

and if a frog had wings….
