Orioles catcher Chad Moeller has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk, where he is expected to report Friday.

Moeller was designated for assignment last Friday when the Orioles added top prospect Matt Wieters to the roster.

Moeller, 34, hit .200 with one home run and two RBIs in 15 games with the Orioles. He has played parts of 10 seasons with seven major league clubs. Moeller signed a minor league deal with the Orioles in December and made the team out of spring training.
