AJ update, per Roch

Nothing we don’t already know, but…

Adam Jones has been removed from tonight’s game in the top of the third inning after crashing into the fence while chasing Kevin Youkilis’ home run in the first.

Jones’ right shoulder appeared to absorb most of the impact, and his neck can’t be feeling too good, either.

The Orioles will pass along more information as it becomes available. For now, they’re saying he came out for precautionary reasons and is day-to-day.

I might.

NOT because I think he’s any good. He isn’t. He sucks. But I don’t want to rush ANY of the Big 3. No reason for them to come up before Sept. this year, if at all. Let Hill go out there and take a beating. Somebody has to eat innings. Might as well be him.

Here's my best recollection

Hello….

Did you know I was calling from California?

Tom Davis: Yes, we did

Have you ever heard of Wheaton, MD?

Tom Davis: Yes, we have. Is this a trvia question?

Have you ever heard of the University of MD?

Tom Davis: Caller, what’s your question?

I’m just wondering, I always get rebutted about this, but I don’t know why your club hasn’t hired one of the best players in baseball who could help your club….

at which point Tom Davis hung up on him. I’m missing a couple of his “Have you ever heard of…” questions, but dude sounds VERY creepy.

Five years ago...

woulda been NASCAR for me.

But the France family is doing their damnedest to drive out hard-core fans. Closing the smaller tracks, taking dates from Darlington, half the schedule is cookie-cutter 1/2 mile tracks that are all the same where no one can pass, it’s boring as hell now. And don’t get me started on the later Sunday start times….no NASCAR race should be STARTING at 3 p.m. except for Vegas and the 3 CA races, which are 2 too many. The oval out there SUCKS.

Makeup does a lot

I’ve met Angelina Jolie as part of her work for the UN. And the bags under here eyes should have had Samsonite stamped on them. She was dressed for business, and didn’t stop traffic. She liked nice, in a real-world kind of way. She’d be the nicest looking woman in any normal office. But not Hollywood Starlet hot.

Now, 90 minutes with a makeup artist and the right dress, and she would have had every male in the room ready to throw their mothers under a train for her phone number.

You're the 2nd person I know to have met her

And I am jealous! Man when I was a teenager (like 18ish, so not like a teeny bopper), I had the biggest straight girl crush on her. I loved her SO much. I’m still very loyal to her even though I liked her much better as a crazy gothy bisexual suicidal brother kisser than I do as a charity obsessed baby machine. My other big straight girl crush was on Charlize Theron who has sadly sort of fallen off the face of the earth lately.

of wearing stuff for a team that isn’t even in the ballpark. Like you always see people at OPACY in Yankees and Red Sox stuff when neither team is there. I get if you just want to take in a ballgame and don’t really have a rooting interest, but just leave that at home and wear something neutral thne.
