Orioles tying record for facing LHP in consecutive games
Interesting tidbit from Roch's blog, http://masnsports.com/2009/07/feeling-left-out-2.html
The Orioles are about to tie the record for most consecutive games facing LHP at 9 games. Tonight, John Danks, and Mark Buerhle tomorrow. Teams must be scouting us!! I remember that Seattle series about a month ago where is was what, Olson Washburn and Vargas? (don't remember exact order) I just haven't realized this current and longer streak, since I had been out of the country for a couple of weeks, returning on Sunday.
I have one solution for breaking the record. We trade Rich Hill to Chicago, and he pitches against us on Sunday. I am kidding, though, obviously. Hill's ERA is atrocious, but I will take the 8-3 record we have of games he has pitched in. I think he will improve his ERA eventually.
Another quick note, we are currently 4-3 during this "lefty streak."
But anyways, congrats to our O's, who will be tying a meaningless record!! This is BIRDLAND!

Our record with Rich Hill on the mound
has to be a coincidence. Everything I’ve read about him this season has been awful, and the few games I get to watch, I just pray that he or Berken aren’t starting.

He's had 3 decent to good starts
and gets incredible run support the rest of the time, he’s the anti-Guthrie (pre-2009 Guthrie, anyway), basically.
