Base Running is ATROCIOUS
After leaving a total of 16 runners on base the orioles fail to convert no more than one run. We seemed to be able to get on base just not knock anybody in. I mean its not like we didn’t have chances they were 0-8 with runners in scoring position. Can someone tell me what Izturis was thinking when there was a ground ball to Teixeira? I mean I probably would have faked the run home and take the out at first rather than take a man out of scoring position! Our base running has killed us this year. But every time we lose I just say to myself “ONE DAY WE WILL WIN” and when that day comes when we don’t make all these stupid mental errors, I will be a happy man.
Totally different subject. I wrote a post last week about how I think that oriole park isn’t loud enough and more people need to get into the games. Well I had some feedback such as people saying they think the people that yell can be annoying and obnoxious. I tend to disagree. I think the orioles don’t want a football crowd at the stadium like it was at memorial stadium, but that is another post for a different day. So I ask you. Would you like a Ravens type of crowd or an Oriole type of crowd to be at Camden yards to root on the birds. And when I say ravens type of crowd I mean they are into every play (paying attention to the game and interested).

Well, you spelled atrocious right
And going with the all caps, really drove your point home. But i worry that the time spent reading this has made me dumber…
I think I preferred the incoherent, grammatical disasters.

You think this guy might like the Ravens?
I’m not sure. I think he might.
The fans will yell when the team competes.
If you read my last post!!!
I stated that they arn’t loud probably becasue the team stinks. It might be louder than 96 and 97 when they compete again because we got the wine and cheese crowd out of there now.

Nice one
I really didn’t care what it looked like. Its as sloppy as the orioles base running. I just wanted to get my point out there.
Please stop with it
Stop comparing baseball to football, the fans to football fans, the O’s to the Ravens! I hope you soon find a Ravens blog. MLB + NFL= DIFFERENT

Most people don't have the attention span
to pay attention to every single baseball play. It just doesn’t happen. With football, you have 16+ games and that’s it. They’re once a week and more people can pay attention to every single play.
It’s not an appropriate comparison.

I'm a Ravens fan, so don't take this the wrong way.
But in my opinion, I really think you should stop with the whole Ravens thing on here. We get it. The Ravens are good. We’re not. Big deal. We’ll be good soon too. I just don’t see a need in comparing us and the fans to fans of the city’s winning team. In fact, I find it to be quite ludicrous. So yeah. If any of this made any sense. I’m really exhausted.

THIS is how you write a “we suck at baserunning” thread.
I’m a Ravens fan, but I don’t go to games because they are way expensive. I’m a baseball fan. I don’t even like super-loudness at games, esspecially when you get a seat near a speaker. I like 40,000 being as loud as 40,000 people are, but I don’t like 40,000 people trying to be as loud as they can. I love the atmosphere at high-attendence games, but it has nothing to do with “loudness” it has to do with the atmosphere, and that’s fine.
