Today's starter at Norfolk

It isn't Chris Tillman.

Left-hander Chris Waters is taking the ball for the Tides today, and he's actually working on normal rest. Though he was removed from the rotation, he tossed five scoreless innings in the nightcap of Friday's doubleheader against Charlotte.

In the first game, Tillman allowed one run and struck out seven over 6 2/3 innings.

We can sit here and wonder if something is up with Tillman, since he isn't starting today at Gwinnett. But it would have made sense to give him the ball. His next turn would fall on Monday, and he could have replaced Rich Hill.

Instead, Tillman is scheduled to start tomorrow.

Interesting.

Roch Kubatko

Guess that means Berken is going down. Although with the off day tomorrow, Berken could still go on Monday on normal rest. At any rate it looks like Tuesday is the day. Will you be there? I will.

Hmmm.

That is all. Very interesting.

Wow

I missed AJ bobbleday and it was Wieters’ first HR. Now i’m missing Nolan T day and it’s Tillman’s first start!? WTF!?

Matt Wieters can get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop in under one lick.

Won't be there on Tuesday...

…but I will be at the Norfolk Tides game tomorrow. If what Roch says is true, I may be witnessing Tillman’s last minor league start?

I NEED TO BE THERE

I remember Bergesen’s first start, also on a T-shirt Tuesday.

I hope that Nolan Reimold’s t-shirt will make me as happy as Uehara’s. I love my Uehara shirt but not because of Uehara.

Tuesdays are the busiest day of work where I work but I have been off Tuesday like 3 times in a row, but I took a Tuesday shift yesterday. I know I’m going to two games next week unless work fucking schedules me on an Orioles off-day, which I’ll kill them if they do.

I'm driving to work right now

They write schedules tomorrow, and they need to know my desires.

I don't get Roch's post

Why is this so surprising? Given that he is coming up sometime soon, wasn’t it more like he would replace Berken rather than Hill?

I’d take Berken over Hill anyday.

Tillman's Debut

I have been waiting for this day…God, since forever.

Not only is it Nolan Reimold T-Shirt Tuesday, but I get to watch the debut of The Futureā„¢!

I can’t freakin’ wait! I was so worried that I’d miss it by a day when they talked about him coming up on Monday, but…I’m just thrilled!

I will be there!

Unless I’m not. Which is entirely possible. But I’m a gonna try. The FUTURE is NOW. Or, at least, next Tuesday.

I really want a big discussion thread near the end of the year

Where everyone talks about “the firsts” that they saw this year, because it really has been fun. Schedule comes out today, I’m nervous.
