Sherrill or Baez to Colorado?
These rumors are getting out of control.
Jhoulys Chacin, #1 prospect in the Rockies system, has been pulled from his start at Double-A, and it is now speculated that he is part of a trade. Tim Dierkes of mlbtraderumors tells us the Rockies have announced he was pulled "as a precaution for possible, future organizational moves" and tries to connect the dots to a Jon Heyman article about how the Rockies were interested in a slew of relievers, including George Sherrill.
Could Andy MacPhail have pulled off another steal by getting Chacin for Sherrill straight up? Did we have to sweeten the deal in order to get the much covetted Ian Stewart?
Find out soon! A Sherrill trade is going to happen. Its just a matter of time now.

Fly Ball Sherrill to CO? Bwahahahaha
I mean, seriously, CO is a launching pad, humidor or not. I figure on him going to FL or CA.
I would trade Sherrill for Chacin in a heartbeat, but I’d have to be pretty desperate and ignorant if I was the Rockies GM to make this trade.

I hate MLBTradeRumors
They link every player to every team, it’s just about worthless. But for some reason I still have to check it out occasionally.

to be fair
It’s not really them. They’re just linking to newspaper reports, tweets, and blogs. Sometimes, they’ll throw in own comments. They don’t investigate and report any rumors themselves.

Yeah, but...
If you post every hunch, rumor, wish, inuendo that anyone even remotely involved in baseball says, writes, tweets or blogs; you end up with linking every player to every team. I realize that’s what they are, but it just ends up being worthless.
Also, a lot of times they tend to report things as if they are a lot more firm then they really are if you look at their source.

Yeah, you definitely have to use the sniff test to sort through all of the noise.
