Chris Ray to DL, Kam Mickolio called up!
I've received confirmation that the Orioles will recall Kam Mickolio from Triple-A Norfolk as Chris Ray's replacement in the bullpen and the 25-man roster, matching what The Sun's Jeff Zrebiec has reported.
That makes two of us. Run with it.
Over his first six outings with Norfolk, Mickolio surrendered nine earned runs in 8 1/3 innings, giving him a 9.72 ERA. But he hasn't allowed an earned run in 18 of his last 21 appearances, posting a 1.08 ERA with 28 strikeouts and 15 hits allowed over that span.
Mickolio was 0-1 with a 5.87 ERA in nine games with the Orioles last season. He's part of the bounty obtained from the Mariners in the Erik Bedard trade.

Nice
No one (other than Adam Eaton) was pitching worse then Ray these past few weeks. Nice to see another player form the Bedard deal up, now if only we could send down Berken and bring up Tillman

Yikes!
Let’s hope he looks different from the last time we saw him.

Cleaned it up and Front Pages it
For the record, the FanShot would be better for this, since it will format the quotes for you nicely, and it makes it readily apparent it’s not your work, but a quote from another website.
Good info, though! Thanks for posting it.

What ever happened to that James Hoey guy?
Does he fit into “the plans?”

He's in Bowie right now, I think.

are there any all star pitchers about to go to the dl?
i’d really like for Kam to be in the ASG as well, and then we can add in Tillman next year for the Seattle sweep. Thanks again guys!

Are they trying
to breed Kam for the future closer role? That height and weight just makes you automatically think closer.

I think they certainly aren't ruling it out.
Between him and David Hernandez, I bet one of them closes in 2011.
