I like the retro Sunday idea

But otherwise, I’m not trying to completely revert to the 1960 uniforms.

My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver

Agreed

I’ve got no problem with it as a “3rd or alternate” jersey/hat, but I very much like the uniforms and hats now.
Personally my favorite bird though is the"pissed off" bird of 1967 with the baseball bat. Classic! Here it is

I love cartoon bird!

but yea, just replace the “O’s” cap with the cartoon bird. Make sure it’s the white panel one though.

It has to be white panel

OR BUST.

I just don’t like the O’s cap. I don’t like the A’s either.

Nah

I like the white panel one as a fan, but I think it would look too odd for a ML team to wear it. If they bring back the cartoon, it should be the all black caps (late 60’s-early 70’s).

It would be unique

It was definitely the best tri-color of all baseball, even when it wasn’t too uncommon to see them.

Twins have nothing on it.

i like the 50's cartoon bird

that is the best IMO and i would love for them to use it is as an alternate along with the orange jersey

I’d like it as “Retro Sunday”, too.

but these guys aren’t worthy yet.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

I just actually put some thought into this

And I change my opinion, the cartoon bird should be brought back!

In principle, I figured that we needed to abstain from reverting completely and totally to uniforms donned decades ago and retain some kind of modernity, but I pictured AJ with one of those caps on and disagreed with myself.

If they had created a new logo with some actual flare instead of just the boring bird then some people would probably keep quiet, however I don’t want to go all Diamondbacks or Rays.

Online Petition

Hey Baltimore Sports Fan,
Can you please edit your petition to make sure there are no spelling mistakes? They’re pretty blatant and make the petition look quite amateur. No one will take this petition seriously if they can’t even read it without chuckling. I have already signed, and I will encourage my friends to do so as well. Great idea to start a petition!

After 60,000 signatures failed to help out Johnny U himself, though, I doubt the cartoon bird stands a chance via the online route.

LOOK

Why don’t we create something different. The orioles need a whole new change. From some coaching changes to front office changes even to the symbol being changed. With this new era of players i think the orioles need to revamp the whole organization.

I LOVE the cartoon bird

And if I thought for a second that a petition would work I’d sign it (and i still might based on principle), but right now I’m sitting in a Panera bread shop eating a tomato and mozzarella panini and I just don’t feel like it. On another note I’m in Orlando on business and I ate breakfast next to Tyler Hansbrough who’s here for NBA summer league. So that’s kinda cool even though I’m not exactly a UNC or Indiana Pacers fan.

off topic, but How was he?

He seems like kinda a jerk on tv.., was he different in person?Just curious, cause i’ve met many sports players and sometimes the ones you think are the biggest jerks are actually quite nice, and nice are jerks

He was pretty quiet.

Kept to himself. I mean, I didn’t talk to him cause that’s just not my style. I’m not one to go up to someone I don’t know and start a conversation. But he wasn’t like all “look at me, I’m tyler hansbrough!” seemed to just want to enjoy his time there. I didn’t get a jerk vibe from him. He’s bigger in person, though, than he looks on the tube.

I made fun of Dave Newhan for being a minor leaguer for the Mets

after he bashed the O’s when he saw my shirt.

Also, I walked next to Bill Clinton for a block in the village. No one else (except sectret service) was even around. That was cool.

I like the present day uniforms and colors

We can wear the cartoon bird on Sundays or something. But it has to be the bird and the white panel hat.

I'm all in favor of the old bird

but we shouldn’t wear it until we’re a winning team
