I think the Blue Jays released him for a reason. Why would we need a reliever with a 6.53 ERA who the Blue Jays only felt comfortable using in blow out games?

They did release him for a reason ... he's lost his velocity

They tried him in the BP as well and it hasn’t worked out. Some team will pick him up on his merits but the truth is he was let go because he can’t perform without that velocity (mid 80’s fastball)

I think he's in a bad way

I read on MLBtraderumors that the Indians had interest in Jimmy Gobble, but not BJ. Think about that – pretty sad.
