No recap from last night since I didn't see a single pitch. Sorry, gang.
Here's your Open Thread, posted while I'm supposed to be paying attention in church. Aisle seat, please.

I'm voting me for MBP
as I went 6 for 9 in 12 innings of softball with 3 rbi’s and 3 runs scored while turning 3 DP’s and making a diving play at 2nd. Whatever happened, it was better than what was going on at the O’s game yesterday.
Also, I enjoy seeing Salazar doing well in ESPN highlights. I for one didnt really give a crap about him when he was with the O’s, but you go dude.
Matt Wieters can get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop in under one lick.
Good for you
the game last night was one of the worst of the season. The O’s had the first two players on in the 6th, 7 the, and 8th. We hit into a double play in each inning…It was hard to watch.
In a strange development the O’s have won three straight Sunday games…seriously.
I think the reason we've been winning these Sunday games is because we keep losing the first two in the weekend series, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, these guys have SOME guts (not Jeremy) in them to not, you know, ultimately fail.
That, or it’s a fluke.

im' keeping score at the game!

I missed the game and glad I did
I was in Atlanta for Braves and Dodgers. It was a zoo. I’ve never seen that place so packed. No Flat Breezy but the Manny hate was astounding. It was a great game.

I see Corey Patterson got picked up by the Brewers
I thought careers ended once the Nats say you suck.
AND Sidney Ponson got released by the Royals.

In other news...
I’ve been slacking with the MBP page lately, but it’s up to date.

Duck maybe at church
You can get the choir to sing Orioles Magic to get you ready for the game:) Just kidding, I know the feeling though of not wanting to be in church, and if i’m there not paying attention!
July 29th What a GREAT day for pitching! Chris Tillman makes his MLB debut, and the Phillies get Cliff Lee, who just won a Cy young Award! SWEET!
Mora's reaction to being benched the 3rd time in 4 days, per Roch:
“I think I deserve more respect than what I’m getting here,” Mora said. "Don’t give me excuses that I can’t beat Smoltz or I can’t beat Beckett or I can’t beat Lester. I’ve been here nine years. All these guys in the East know me. I’ve made the All-Star team. I deserve respect.
“I always speak up. I never hide anything. I’m an honest man. Just respect me. The way I’ve played for the Orioles, just respect me.”
Ruh-roh.

I get the feeling
the break up between the O’s and Mora this offseason will be a messy one.
Matt Wieters can get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop in under one lick.
I'm thinking this just made it easier for MacPhail
Attitude BS is probably the last thing he wants to hear. If Mora had turned it on the second half, perhaps things would be more difficult. Wiggy at 3B in 2009.

Melvin, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Seriously, Melvin Mora is complaining about being bench with THOSE numbers???
"We're not the other teams' farm system." - Andy MacPhail
They just showed Melvin on MASN
He was shoveling the same crap to Amber. Trembley has already walked on eggshells for Melvin, telling him he was out before posting the lineup (a respect thing that made Mora mad at Perlozzo a couple of years ago).
Cut him
If he’s gonna whine in the press, cut his ass now. The money is negligble, he’s not back next year anyway, and it sends a message – if you’re a problem, you’re gone. I’d DFA him tomorrow.
