Ump nailed by soda bottle from The Holy Fans of the New York Yankees
The game was interrupted for about 10 minutes. When play resumed, there were only three umpires on the field. During the fight, third base ump and crew chief Derryl Cousins was hit in the knee by a bottle full of soda that he said was thrown from the stands.
Maybe we can all add this to the list of things we can honor everything Yankee.
Funny fight, otherwise.

when I went to new Yankee stadium for the first time
I was shocked to see them hand me a full pepsi bottle with the cap on. almost every venue removes the caps for exactly this reason. guess they thought yankee fans were above such behavior…

At the big A you can bring in unopened
plastic bottles of water (soda too I think, but not positive). I haven’t been to OPACY in forever but I thought you used to be able to do that there as well.
