B. J. Ryan
I was listening to the Blue Jay broadcast on XM last night (yeah, I know. why?) and they made the comment that B.J. after being released by the Jays this summer, signed a minor league contract with the Cubs. The Cubs have apparently now released him, as well, and the Toronto announcers made the comment that his career is probably over. Not certain what the medical diagnosis is, but not so sure about that comment. He's not too old and left-handed, so after some duct tape and chicken wire, it wouldn't surprise me to see him back somewhere, someday.

Keep that XM tuner on the KC Royals channel.
Ol’ BJ is bound to show up sooner or later.

Not everyone comes back from TJ surgery
Most pitchers do these days, but it’s not a sure thing. Beej’s velocity and movement were never the same after he came back from surgery, by anyone’s account. It’s sad, I harbored him no ill will and I hope he makes it back somewhere, but I can’t bank on it at this point.
