Camden Chat Nominated For Best O's Website on Baltimore Sun's Website

Congratulations Camden Chat, The Baltimore Sun think you're a great O's blog.

I'm not sure if anyone else has heard but the Baltimore Sun is holding their Mobbies competition for the best blogs that have anything to do with Maryland. And Camden Chat is nominated for the best Orioles blog. The competition includes Matt Wieters Facts, Camden Crazies and Dempsey's Army.

So far CC is second in the voting trailing only Daniel Moroz' Camden Crazies.

Additionally, please note there are TWO places to vote for Camden Chat. The first place is at the top for "Best Overall Blog" (if you do indeed believe it's the best overall in Maryland). But you also need to vote for them in the Orioles section. That's the most important place to vote.

but i didnt have to even open it to bve able to vote. In the email it says you have to click on the link to confirm membership, but you dont have to. All you have to do is login with the password and email you just provided, so feel free to make up the email.

You know what though

the jump start in traffic that we got this season did cause a few problems and disrupted our community a bit, but we ended up getting several awesome new members from it as well, and those who didn’t fit in have for the most part been weeded out/stopped coming by. I think it was all worth it in the end. And if recognition from The Sun gets us another small handful of awesomeness, I think it’s great.

It sounds like you’re implying that Camden Chat and Baltimore Beatdown were only nominated because Baltimore Sun has some kind of connection with those blogs. If that’s not what you’re saying, please clarify. If that is what you’re saying, please read carefully.

1) The Baltimore Sun has no ties with this website or with SB Nation. I don’t know why you think that it does.

2) The nominations weren’t done by the Baltimore Sun staff but rather by anyone who wanted to contribute a site. You just clicked on the link and entered the site you wanted nominated and the category to which it belonged (note: I did not nominate Camden Chat but would have if someone else hadn’t done it already)

3) Not to be the arrogant blogger, but the content on this website is damn good and it deserves to be included based on that. It is flat out insulting to me, SC, duck, zk, and all of the regular members of this site to say what you’re saying.

There are, like, a zillion blogs on that Sun page, in many different categories… and CC isn’t even #1 (yet!) in its category, in which there are 9 other blogs… and CC blatantly does not have ties to the Sun… so many reasons why he makes no sense… it necessiates so many ellipses… color me confused.
