Rays Mascot Abusing Red Sox Fans at Tropicana Field.

Hey all, I just read this from our friends, www.overthemonster.com.   Seems the Mascot for the Rays was harassing some red sox fans.

Personally, I find the whole antics pretty hysterical.  Wish I could have seen some pissed off Red Sox fans.  Though, I must admit, if he were doing it to O's fans, I'd be very upset.  So I'm a hypocrite.

Ok,

so this is problem not right at all for a mascot to do. But given that they were Red Sox fans, i find it awesome.

"Chicks who dig home runs aren’t the ones who appeal to me, I think there’s sexiness in infield hits because they require technique. I’d rather impress the chicks with my technique than with my brute strength. Then, every now and then, just to show I can do that, too, I might flirt a little by hitting one out."-Ichiro

Weird

I don’t have a problem with the mascot giving a little bit of a hard time to opposing fans. For example I’ve seen the Bird take the the hat off of the head of a Yankees fan and rub it under his arm pit or hold his nose like it stinks and then give it right back to the fan. I don’t really mind that kind of stuff, but if Raymond shoved this guy, that’s over the line.

The Sox fan is not telling the whole story

No mascot would do this unless they were being harrassed, Wouldnt be surprised if those same Sox fans were shouting things about him and his team striaght to his face, though I do wish I was there to see it

Bleh

So basically the mascot was treating Red Sox fans with pretty much the same respect they treat home team fans? Not saying I agree with it (I’d be pissed too), but do the most obnoxious fans in baseball think is going to happen to them?

Oops

I meant ot say ‘but WHAT do the most obnoxious fans in baseball think is going to happen to them?’

Precious.

From the comments:

“mascots are all duchbags”

“Sometimes I am ashamed to be a Red Sox Fan. The fact that you posted those pictures and put up the "cant we all get along" post is pathetic.”

“The most obnoxious fans in the world are Red Sox Fans.”

They all seem to be really concerned about “good money”. As in “paying ‘good money’ gives you license to act like a jerkoff.”

Well, I think the silly string is a bit much

except for Red Sox fans. You know what? Stay at home, give someone else your hard earned money, and quit acting like such entitled douchebags.

You know the other day I was at one of the games against the Yankees

and ithe only other group in my row was a father and sun all decked out in yankee gear and when I saw them I just groaned.

But they were kind people, said “excuse me” when the wanted to pass, clapped when the yankees did good things, and were altogether polite. So it’s not always bad.

That's the difference.

Yankee fans have a false sense of class. Red Sox fans actually want to teach their kids how to be loudmouth pricks.

by the way.. i doubt those are "tourist dollars" those fans are spending

it’s more those fans are tampa-residing red sox fans. Migrated there either through retirement or whatever. Then they reproduced and multiplied.
