It was in the 30s in Seoul, baaaaaaaaaby

…ASIA!

I’m firmly behind Melewski here. This team doesn’t necessarily need a giant bat. With increased production, time, and experience the gap in homers and doubles will be filled by Wieters, Bell, Snyder, and Reimold. As a matter of fact, if you look at the teams that have gone to the World Series the last five years, there haven’t been that many with a 40+ homer guy. Aside from Ortiz and Howard there haven’t been any others.

It’s a luxury, and not even an important one. I’d rather have a deep, girthy pitching staff with one or more aces than a “big bopper”.

Not to mention the presence of Bradon Waring in the minors. If that dude comes up swinging the bat he’s been, he’ll be a 40 homer DH on a solid team.

After Stacey said that Gonzalez was going to be good but little help, the host felt he had to remind her that “You can say what you want here, we don’t censor anything.” Like Stacey was afraid of pissing off the Orioles organization. Just silly.
