NLCS Game 5: Phillies (1) @ Giants (3), 7:57 PM
It's a rematch of Roy Halladay vs. Tim Lincecum as the Phillies try to stay alive and the Giants try to move on to the World Series. Last night's game was pretty exciting (did you see Aubrey Huff score the winning run?), and I've decided I kind of like Giants fans in their "fear the beard" shirts and giant panda heads.

He's got an odd look on his face
Surprising to see him “off” in the biggest game of his career.
He is throwing wayyyyy to many balls

No great, but not bad either
Ump blew a call on a foul ball bunt allowing runners to advance. Then Huff blew a grounder allowing the 2 runners to score.

Absolutely horrible luck.... he looked bulletproof going into the 3rd
Then it look like he lost his cool a little after the horrible bunt call and then Huffs two run error.
Both pitchers pitch counts are rising…

Wow, Werth gunned that ball to 3B and he didn't even look like he tried that hard.

Can he also gun a ball from 3rd base to 1st base? Cause we could certainly use him if he can...

And we had him! We drafted him! We had him in OUR system!
I get pissed every time Jayson Werth does something well. Because I saw him in a Shorebirds uniform, catching for an Orioles affiliate, and we let him go.

I'd be more annoyed
if he put it together right after leaving the Orioles, but it took him awhile. The Jays and Dodgers gave up on him before he figured it out.

Where the piss did these scrappy Giants offense come from?
I thought the entire season that their lineup was absolutely putrid….
Now its tough to get any of the mfers out

Actual baseball fans would probably love to see that matchup.
Too bad actual baseball fans aren’t the target demographic for national baseball broadcasts.

Yeah
I don’t know… I mean, I hate the Yankees, sort of like the Phillies, don’t like the Giants much, and have come to really like the Rangers alot.
That being said, a Yankee-Philly rematch WOULD be pretty exciting. But I’ll be wayyyy happier to see the Yanks go home early.

no one cares what execs feel about matchups
and those who do are just jealous that their team isn’t in the postseason. Nobody gives a shit if millions of fair-weather yankee and red sox fans don’t feel like watching good baseball.
i count 5 grounders booted, Ole’d or otherwise muffed tonight

WHAT THE HELL IS ON MY TV SINGING AT ME????

NOTHING, short of Jersey Shore
is more annoying than Sweet Caroline at Fenway Park, with the exception of God Bless America at NYS.

Jersey Shore
I have never seen that show thankfully. I have, unfortunately, witnessed way too much dancing with the stars however.

If the leads holds...
…both LCS’s will go to a Game 6. Nice to see some drama in the postseason.

Is it wrong
to hate Jayson Werth because he was so fucking worthless as an O’s prospect?

I worked for the Baysox for two years when Werth was there
And let me tell you, I would have traded him for half a dozen waterlogged baseballs. He was completely lost at the plate.

Who knows
although to be fair you can stay mad at Flanny because he got paid a lot of money to see who would and wouldn’t “get it.” I was making less than minimum wage…
