somehow I still find myself rooting for the rangers
in the first inning, my GF and I made a bet: if the rangers win, I will be exempt from seeing the next Harry Potter film (which was punishment from a previous bet that I lost). If the giants win, I’ll have to see the movie AND dress up as a HP character.

Wish they’d kept Alfonso Cuarón to just do the whole series. And he should have gone back and remade 1 & 2, ’cause Chris Columbus just did paint-by-numbers on those two.

The only people I've ever met who don't love Harry Potter
are the ones who refuse to give it a try. They are fantastic books. My mom even read them and it’s not her thing at all. I have never, ever, met someone who read Harry Potter and was like, “Meh.”

you know when you're home alone and scared and you think you see shadows moving in your peripheral vision
but then you scan the room and of course there’s nothing there. You know where you never check? The ceiling right above you. Some spider-crab thingie could be scurrying across the ceiling and you’d never know it until it dropped onto your face.
