Didn't realize Markakis hit .338 with RISP
Actually, didn’t even realize we even got runners in scoring position. Kinda crazy that he’d have fewer ribbies this year.

there's a thought...
maybe I could go ahead and get an A. Gonz jersey since we will be trading Matusz and Wieters for him anyway
Mine has number 3 and the name DOSTOYEVSKY
I’ve worn it at OPACY like three times now— and I’m still waiting for somebody to ask me, “Um, sir…?”

Wow. That is a legit radio show.
I mean, we’re not talking some piddly AM station with no wattage. DC’s 106.7 is basically like our 105.7. I wonder how they pulled that off.

106.7 also hosts another SBN show for BloodyElbow, the main SBN MMA blog
so the station choice isn’t surprising.

When I take over the world, the only DC radio station I will allow to exist will be DC101.
Also, I wasn’t actually expressing confusion at DC having radio. More surprise that a blog was getting an hour show on such a mainstream outlet like DC’s “The Fan” station.

SBN has more clout than you seem to think
I read an article the other day valuing it at around 30 million dollars, and I’m sure the Markos Moulitsas connection opens a lot of media doors.
Where does all that money come from?
Ads? It’s free to join and free to browse.
I'm back. YAY SUMMER!
Well valuing companies is a funny thing, its not the same thing as revenue
but I’d imagine the vast majority of the money coming in is ad-driven.
Think of the ads you see on here
Now, some are pretty rinky-dink, but some big name companies advertise on SBN now. That isn’t cheap.

Do any DC'ers know where Politics and Prose is?
I’m going to a lecture by this guy who wrote a biography of George Washington. It should be interesting.

Those can be pretty damn boring

Lance Berkman is a True Douche Bag AND...
Also from Hardball: “Michael Bloomberg already planning World Series parade for Yanks.” The best part is Girardi sneering “I hope he’s right.” Any manager who’s not a complete DICK would give the standard Crash Davis down-play. Not Joe. Straight up asshole…
Good Luck Tony
Yea sad man. I met him nice guy seems really cool. Hope he comes out on top.

Damn - hadn't seen that
If anyone was the perfect classmate for Cal for the HoF, it was Tony Gwynn. That was a perfect pairing.

Sad thing is
I was at the election and after Tony was done like 5 people left but when Cal finished everyone left. And i mean everyone!
